Friends, thanks to your support, our movement to protect Great Nicobar is growing stronger! You are among the 3000+ dedicated individuals who have signed a postcard or have sent an email petition to MoEFCC, and we’re excited to share what we’ve achieved together.

Our collective action has resulted in 1,200 postcards from 29 cities being sent to authorities, as well as 2,883 formal letters and emails from 14 states and 3 Union Territories demanding a reconsideration of the massive development project threatening Nicobar’s forests, marine life, and indigenous communities.

OUR demands to the authorities are:

The first 500 postcards printed on recycled paper were sent to the MoEFCC on 29 June 2024 and on 2nd April 2025, we sent another batch of 500+ postcards with a follow-up letter requesting the authorities to reconsider the project.

People's resistance has been going strong and yet the Union Tribal Affairs Minister - Jual Oram said in Rajya Sabha that he is not aware any kind of objections from the public against the Great Nicobar Project.

This makes it even more critical to keep raising our voices and ensure the authorities listen to our concerns.
